In her schooling, Mrs. Goldman attended Cal State University, Fullerton where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, as well as her Secondary Teaching Credential in Physical Education with an emphasis in Dance.

Mrs. Goldman is involved in many professional dance education associations such as The California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (CAHPERD), and National Dance Education Organization (NDEO).

Through these organizations, she continues to train in current relevant dance and movement techniques, in the exploration of dance education practices dedicated to artistry, collaboration, and dance-making.
Mrs. Goldman is going into her 22nd year teaching at Santa Barbara High School.


SBHS Donettes Dance Team Coaches

Quincy Ruggieriqruggieri@sbunified.org

Quincy Ruggieri is a Santa Barbara High School alumni and one of the current coaches for the Donettes dance team. Quincy graduated from SBHS in 2019 and attended Pace University in NY. Her time at Pace was cut short due to the outbreak of Covid-19, but Quincy enjoyed being a member of the university’s dance team until she transferred in 2020.

After the outbreak of Covid, Quincy moved back to CA and transferred to Santa Barbara City College where she received her Associate in Arts degrees in History and Liberal Arts and Sciences. In 2021, Quincy transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles; she graduated in 2023 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts with a major in History. Throughout her studies at UCLA, Quincy continued her dance training. 

Quincy’s dance background includes contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, POM, jazz, musical theatre, and flamenco. This is Quincy’s second year coaching at SBHS, and she is dedicated to creating a safe space for students to explore movement and collaborate with one another.


Patricia Carachure Sixtopcarachuresixto@sbunified.org

Patricia Carachure Sixto is a Santa Barbara High School alumni and one of the current coaches for the Donettes dance team. This is Patricia’s third year coaching at SBHS.

She is currently a student at Santa Barbara City College, where she is pursuing a degree in Business. Patricia plans to transfer to a university next fall to continue working toward her Bachelor’s degree.

Patricia is a proud alumni of the Donettes dance team, with all of her dance training rooted in the SBHS Dance Program. She brings her experience and passion for dance to the team, and is committed to supporting students as they grow through movement, teamwork, and self-expression.
