The Santa Barbara Education Foundation made headlines early this year with a record-breaking $200,000 in Teacher Grants, awarded to 83 educators across 21 schools at a celebratory ceremony held on January 25, 2024, at the Carrillo Recreation Center in downtown Santa Barbara. Among the inspiring recipients was Beth Goldman, director of the Dance Department at SBHS, who secured a grant to take the Donettes Dance Team to the Disney Imagination Campus workshop.
On April 27, 2025, her dancers stepped into this once-in-a-lifetime experience, working directly with Disney Live Entertainment professionals to master choreography and staging techniques from real Disney Parks shows, learn the art of storytelling through movement, and gain insider insight into the audition process and the collaborative spirit of ensemble performance. Goldman’s grant turned an existing, prestigious opportunity into a transformative experience for her team—where imagination meets discipline on a truly magical stage.

The Santa Barbara High School Dance program will present their 2025 Annual Spring Dance Concert on Thursday, May 22 & Friday May 23 at 7 pm in the SBHS Theater.
Our talented dancers will present Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Country Line Dance, Contemporary Modern, Bollywood, Colombian Bullerengue and Ballet. It will include a special performance by our very own SBHS Folklorico Club and Class! @sbhsfolklorico
Tickets are $7 for students and $12 for adults.

Tickets will also be sold during lunch the week of and before the show in the main hall.
